Day 1,

Good news! Today in my church I found a bag of golden penny in a well under our church. I think it’s a roman empire’s well and, no one knows it. I took 30 golden pennies for me; 20 golden pennies for manors buildings; 15 for the church, 25 for my lord and 3 for building my secret room (that is in the well I found). Today I ate bread and strawberry jam, the straw berry jam I bought from the trading place for 5 silver pennies. The bread is from the best bakery. It just cost 8 silver pennies. Then I need to work in the church. Be a priest is not easy. Lunch I had wine for drink (made in France), fish and nut pie. I go to exercise in the afternoon. I ate pizza; my friend took the recipe from Italy. I went back to my house. Suddenly, a messenger came from my lord with a letter.

Dear priest Shawn,

Next week, king and all the lords will come to have a great festival at our city—Bay hall. I’m so happy about that. Can you prepare for that? Make sure the feast is beside the Bay hall forest. Also you need to prepare for the hawking. All the people of the Bay hall need to prepare for this festival. You can come, too.

Day 2 (the festival)

I didn’t slept at all last night, because I’m so excited. Me and my lord and all the nobles of the Bay hall wait in the manors house. Then the king and other manor’s lords came. The Bay hall streets are full with people. We need to bring soldier’s to make a path threw the crowd. We went to the hawking. I just use just one arrow shoot down two pigeons. I gave to the king for a present. Then we have great feast almost 40 kinds of meat, delicious salad, soup and dessert. Then we have cookies and coffee. Today is a sunny day the cloud is very beautiful. Then we have dinner. We watch dramas and hear music. Then the best knights in the kingdom is doing joust, Bay hall win the second place.

It’s a great festival!

Day 3

When I just wake up, a knight went to my house.” The Vikings is going to attack us ” he say it in fear.

“Is that true?” I asked.

“Yes!”

“Make all the women and children leave. Take you and other warrior and men to defense. Take all the lord and nobles family come to church.

I took my lords to my “secret room” I store a lot of food here.

We are very safe but the bay hall citizens half are died. We are all sad. The fight is still continuing. The soldier told us the manor house is burned. I told my lord next time we need to build a long wall around the manor, and stone castles.

When the fight is over, we went to the top of the church.
